Text Box: Some of our club members have been expanding their cultural opportunities by visiting Braddon Country for over fifty tranquil years now staying in heritage shacks, caravanning and bush camping out under the stars with parents and grandparents. A varied lifestyle has a unique experience of recreational interests can be found in this ancient wilderness. Every week end some of the clubs members would be using this extraordinary landscape as we can explore the possibilities which suit our extreme life style. Braddon Country is our life be in it secret destination. This Braddon Country has so much to offer the tread lightly user and tourist it is an untapped wealth for recreational usage. From the coastal areas to inland rainforests this area has been used by man for many reasons for his survival and also to contribute to Tasmania’s heritage and economy. Inland many timber trails for logging which timber was transported out as well as a number of sawmills settled in the area. Cattle runs and farming has been tried and still working farms are mainly in the north. A large number of recorded small mines have been operating in this corner of the state during early mining booms but none were of any large scale.
